Research at the Quadram Institute is organised through small research groups, headed by a group leader who is world-class in their field, providing a supportive environment for you to develop your career.  Scientific and professional support teams help deliver this world-leading research, and translate it into impactful innovation. Collaborative, interdisciplinary work is encouraged, especially through our Institute Strategic Programmes, meaning your research will be tackling some of the most pressing global challenges facing society. Scientific and professional support teams help deliver this world-leading research, and translate it into impactful innovation.

Fostering collaboration has been built into the design and layout of the building, with seating areas spread around the office areas for impromptu meetings. Speaking of coffee, the Quadram café has a full barista service, as well as serving hot and cold lunches, breakfast, snacks and refreshments, with prices subsidised for staff and students in the building.

The institute regularly hosts high calibre seminars with speakers from across the globe, which is a great chance to hear from and speak to world-leading scientists in relevant research areas. Internal seminars and meetings keep you up to date with your colleagues’ latest breakthroughs. And fortnightly “Coffee Break Science” sessions invite the whole institute to come together for quick science talks and news from across the institute.

You’ll also be able to join seminars and other events hosted by the other institutes on the Norwich Research Park, opening up new networks. This is one of the many benefits of joining an institute that is part of a community of 3,000 scientists and clinicians making up the Norwich Research Park.
