Work is continuing apace on the new Quadram Institute building on the Norwich Research Park.

There are currently six contractors on site with between 90 to 105 operatives on site daily.

Around 45 workers are currently building the reinforced concrete frame. They can complete around 800 m2 of floor in a week, taking approx. 4 weeks to complete a whole floor including supporting columns.

The largest pour of concrete in a day has been 307 m3, with 900 m3 poured to date (not including the main base slab). Around 30% of the concrete is made up of recycled aggregate.
