We believe this website is compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard.

Since our last accessibility audit we have worked with the website developers to address the identified non-compliant issues across the website. These issues included:

  • You cannot skip to the main content when using a screen reader
  • Elements are currently not highlighted on focus when using keyboard navigation
  • Colour used for links in main text content areas has a low contrast ratio with the default site background colour, resulting in possible reading issues for some users with partial vision.
  • Some areas of text have a low contrast ratio between the text colour and the background colour, resulting in possible reading issues for some users with partial vision.
  • A large number of links to related information have duplicate/non-descriptive link text.
  • Some images are missing alternative text descriptions
  • most older PDF documents are not fully accessible to screen reader software
