Is there anything you’ve ever wanted to ask a food scientist? During August the Institute of Food Research installed some of its food scientists into The Forum in Norwich as part of Lunchbox, the two week festival of street theatre that’s perfect to enjoy during your lunch break.

Thursday 11th August
On Tuesdays and Thursday during Lunchbox (2nd , 4th ,9th & 11th August) IFR manned a booth from 12:00-14:00, fielding questions from the public on all things food. So whether you want to know about the recent E. coli outbreak, the latest dietary fads, newspaper headlines about superfoods, or the healthiest way to cook your veg then this was a great chance to hear from some of the world’s leading food researchers.
Although they won’t be able to give personalised medical advice, the scientists tackled any questions related to food, and fuller answers are now available on the IFR website.
LunchBox is returning for the fifth year, providing a feast of street theatre as the perfect entertainment to accompany your lunch break during the summer. And now, with IFR’s scientists help, you can really find out what is in your lunch.
