Clinical Trials Day

16 May 2017 - 16 May 2017
8:30 - 16:30

Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital

Some of our scientists will be showcasing their research that involves clinical trials at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital on Tuesday 16th May, by taking part in the hospital’s Clinical Trials Day.

Clinical Trials Day will be in the East Atrium Level 2 and West Atrium Level 1 areas from 8:30am until 4:40pm.

Patients, staff and the public will be able to meet NNUH research nursing teams and other staff who are involved in running clinical trials, as well as scientists from the Quadram Institute.

QI researchers will be talking about current and recent trials studying the effects on health of eating broccoli, and others studies on starch fermentation, inflammatory bowel disease and gut health.

This event is being held ahead of International Clinical Trials Day, and also to raise awareness of a new campaign from the National Institute for Health Research ‘I Am Research.’ Developing novel or better treatments relies on research, and the half a million people who each year help by taking part in health research with the NHS. The I Am Research campaign talks about the benefits of this research in improving all of our lives.
