Example of a microbattle card. What will yours looks like?

MicroBattle (µB) is a competitive card game with the aim to win battles of simulated microbial biofilm growth against your opponent. You can choose from many microbes (in the form of Microbe Cards) and many growth conditions (in the form of Battle Cards) and customize your path to victory.

Find out more about Microbattle and download your card decks and instructions here: https://quadram.ac.uk/get-involved/engage-with-science/#microbattle

Now, we’re giving you the chance to design a new card to be added to the game deck!

In 2010, after much genetic and microbiological research and innovation, scientists created a new living organism, Mycoplasma laboratorium, lovingly called Synthia. It opens the door to designing new forms of life and Synthia is predicted to be important in the fight against climate change and other future crises.

Download an entry form below, draw your version of Synthia and send this sheet to us to be in with a chance of it being added to the game pack! The winner will also be sent a prize of a £50 Amazon voucher.

Competition closes 5pm, 19th November 2021.
