I started my PhD with the Juge group in 2024, investigating the role of glycogen metabolism in the adaptation of Ruminoccocus gnavus to the dynamic gut environment.

As R. gnavus is disproportionately represented in a number of metabolic diseases there is great interest in understanding the mechanisms of adaptation to the gut.
