I am part of the Wellcome Trust-funded rotation PhD programme ‘Plants, Food and Health’. After completing my three rotations I joined the Robinson lab, where I am investigating whether the manipulation of the gut microbiota could be used as a therapeutic and preventative strategy for cancer. I am particularly interested in the use of probiotics and plant-derived prebiotics, such as polyphenols.
