Glycobiology of host-microbe interactions in the gut

I am a lab tech in Nathalie Juge’s group, in the Gut Microbes & Health research area, and I am studying different glycoenzymes from human gut microbes and their activity with different substrates.

I have always had interest in researching in health and cancer. In the future, I expect to find a suitable PhD for me thanks to my experience in QIB and my dedication in my work.

Previously, before joining QIB I completed a Master in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology and Genetics in the University of A Coruña (Spain) as I wanted to focus my future career in research. I was also granted with an Erasmus Placement where I joined the microbiology lab in De Watergroep company in Leuven (Belguim) for 5 months. My Bachelor degree was in Environmental Sciences in the University of Valencia (Spain).
