I lead the team responsible for building the reputation of the Quadram Institute and Quadram Institute Bioscience and for supporting public engagement across the institute.
After graduating from the University of Aberdeen with an MA (Hons) in English, my first career was as a news journalist on daily newspapers before moving into public relations more than 20 years ago.
I started my public relations career in financial services with Aviva and then Virgin Money. After five years in financial services, I went on to spend nearly 10 years heading up an award-winning communications team at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.
I joined the Quadram Institute in late 2019 from my previous role as Head of Corporate Communications at the University of East Anglia where I helped lead communications teams that delivered award-winning campaigns for the university. I am a Chartered Institute of Public Relations Chartered Practitioner.
