I am a PhD student in Professor Mark Webber’s group. My project is investigating how genome position affects gene expression in the model organisms E. coli and Salmonella.
I graduated with a first-class BSc in Biomedical Science from Nottingham Trent University in 2021 and in 2022 I graduated from the University of Sheffield with a distinction in MSc Antimicrobial Resistance. During my undergraduate degree I did my research project on toxin-antitoxin systems in E. coli and in my masters degree I focused on whole genome sequencing and antimicrobial resistance genes in Neisseria gonorrhoeae.
