I joined the Food Databanks National Capability group at the Quadram Institute in 2018 and since then, I have been involved in two EIT Food funded personalised nutrition projects (Quisper 2018-2019 and PERSFO 2020-2021). I provide knowledge and expertise in nutrition, dietetics and food; as well as, experience on the business development and entrepreneurship areas, due to my previous working experiences as a dietician and innovation manager. Most recently, I have been collaborating with the DIME study, where I have given diet-related recommendations to the participants and have followed up their food intake during the study period, as a dietitian expert consultant.
I am passionate about nutrition, food and health and my main goal is to help bring innovative and healthy ideas/products to the market.
I hold a bachelor degree in Human Nutrition (Costa Rica) and an MSc in Molecular Nutrition and Toxicology from Wageningen University (Netherlands).
