Bacteriophages and Viromics

I am a NRPDTP PhD student in the Adriaenssens group.

I joined the Adriaenssens group in 2025, with my project focus being on bacteriophage biocontrol of Listeria monocytogenes in the food processing environment. I first fell in love with phages during a public outreach event in my undergraduate degree and I am passionate about applications of phages for public health.

In 2025, I graduated with first class Honours from my undergraduate degree, BSc Microbiology, at the University of Liverpool. During my undergraduate degree, I completed two distinct phage projects focusing on lytic coliphages and characterising the function of unknown genes in Salmonella prophages for my dissertation.
