My research in the team of Professor Alessia Buscaino at the Quadram Institute focuses on how the yeast Candida albicans adapts to the gut enviromment and how it balances between commensalism and pathogenicity.
Before joining the Quadram Institute, I was a Post Doctoral Research Associate at the University of Kent, working on establishing the RNA intereference pathway in C. albicans.
I hold a PhD in Fungal Genetics from the University College Dublin where I was part of the Marie SkÅ‚odowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) funded doctoral training programm “Opathy” and a MSc degree in Mycology from Paris Diderot University .
