AI and metaproteomics for human gut health

I am a bioinformatician specialising in mass spectrometry data (proteomics, lipidomics, metabolomics), with a particular focus on spatial proteomics.

The first part of my career was as a bench scientist but as I delved deeper into the world of mass spectrometry, my work became increasingly numeric.

After I started my family, I gave up the 20+hr lab experiments and formally retrained in bioinformatics. Most of my work is in Python and SQL, with some bash, html, jinja and javascript. I have a special interest the principles governing membrane protein movement within the cell.
