I have worked within the QIB Core Sciences Resources as a Microscopist since 2006, mainly specialising in electron microscopy. My time is split between QIB, where I discuss image requirements with QIB scientists and prepare samples, and Bioimaging at the John Innes Centre where the imaging in the electron microscopes is carried out. Together with my job share, Catherine Booth, we use a range of techniques and equipment to prepare samples for electron microscopy (both TEM and SEM) and provide training and support for the light/fluorescence microscopes at QIB.
