I am a Glytunes Marie Sklodowska‐Curie Ph.D. student; I will carry out my glytunes studentship project on the role of Siglecs in the interaction between cancer-associated Fusobacterium nucleatum strains and the host immune system through the use of molecular microbiology, cell biology, advanced bioimaging techniques, data mining and experimental approaches.

In 2017 I completed my Bachelor’s in Pharmacy gaining a First-class honours at the University of Khartoum, Khartoum, Sudan. Following this I undertook a MSc of Microbiological and Biochemical Pharmacy from China Pharmaceutical University, Nanjing, China 2021. Throughout my education I gained both wet lab and computational skills providing me with the essential tools needed for my research at the Quadram Institute.
