I am a Postdoctoral Research Scientist in the Daniel Figeys Group at the Quadram Institute

My research focuses on the assessment of prebiotics, with a particular emphasis on how these components can improve the quality of life for aging populations. By investigating the links between nutrition and inflammation-related diseases, we seek to develop strategies that promote healthy ageing through microbiome modulation.

At the Quadram Institute, Daniel Figeys Group leverages high-resolution “omic” technologies—including metaproteomics, metagenomics, and bioinformatics—to analyse how different individuals respond to dietary interventions. A core component of our work involves developing ex vivo microbiome assays (RapidAIM) to facilitate precision nutrition and tailored microbiome trials.

Before joining the Quadram Institute, I completed their PhD at the University of Reading, where I investigated the potential of cellobiose as a novel prebiotic candidate.
