Graduating with a BSc in Microbiology from Aberdeen University, I was fortunate to start my PhD researching how different food structures affect gut microbiota members in the context of human health and nutrition. As an avid cook, I was happy to combine my academic background with a keen interest in food. I also like to sing and powerlift in my spare time.
