Investigating the evolution of antimicrobial resistance

I am a Research Scientist in Microbes in the Food Chain (MFC). I am trained in Molecular Biology and support the MFC with many projects. My area of expertise is synthetic biology and genome engineering.
Prior to joining Quadram I worked as postdoc at the John Innes Centre investigating the regulation of antibiotic production in Streptomyces spp. in the Hutchings lab where I also did my PhD. I received my MSc at the University of Marburg, Germany, and my BSc at the Carl von Ossietzky Universität, Oldenburg, Germany. My final year projects were at the Max Planck Institute for Terrestrial Microbiology and Max Planck Institute for Marine Microbiology, respectively.
