I have extensive experience in scientific writing and research management and bring this to my role as Directorate Manager at Quadram Institute Bioscience (QIB). My responsibilities include strategically supporting QIB’s Director and Senior Management Team, managing relationships with key stakeholders, including BBSRC, and coordinating major funding submissions and reports. I also develop and implement strategies for cross-institute collaboration and engagement, and I produce scientific and management reports. I use my experience in science communications to promote QIB’s vision and achievements and I undertake to ensure that QIB has a strong culture of innovation and staff engagement.

Prior to joining the Quadram Institute, I was a Communications Manager at the University of Sheffield and was the Head of Research Administration and Communications at The Roslin Institute, University of Edinburgh. My scientific background is the study of neurodegenerative disease.
