I joined QIB in April 2024 as a project scientist in Maria Traka’s group.
I am involved with managing and updating the national UK McCance and Widdowson food composition database which underpins the understanding of the relationship between diet and health patterns in food consumption and composition. This is essential for nutrition-based health programmes and clinical and nutrition research including healthy and sustainable diets to benefit the UK population.
Previously, I graduated with a MChem in Chemistry from Durham University in 2022. During my course, I undertook a research project in drug discovery investigating retinoids as potential therapeutics for neurodegenerative diseases.
