I am a Research Scientist in the Kroon Group as part of my postdoc project. My project is awarded a grant by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK).
I obtained my B.Sc. in Food Engineering Department from Selcuk University, Konya, Turkey. I have completed my M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Food Engineering from Bursa Uludag University (BUU), Bursa, Turkey respectively. Subsequently, I started working as a “Research Assistant” in BUU. In 2019, I received the title of “Associate Professor” by the Republic of Turkey, Inter-Universities Council.
My research interest covers fruit & vegetable processing technology, the impact of food processing on dietary phenolics and the alterations during in vitro gastrointestinal digestion with a special emphasis on health beneficial effects of bioactive compounds on human gut.
