Metagenomics Research Scientist

Microbial Genomes, Strains and Evolution

I earned my Master of Science degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the South China University of Technology in Guangzhou, China. Subsequently, I served as a Research Assistant at the same institution for one year.

Thereafter, I pursued my PhD at the Swammerdam Institute for Life Sciences (SILS), University of Amsterdam, where my doctoral research focused on the early-life gut microbiome and the application of microbial genome-scale metabolic models. I joined the Hilderbrand research group at the Quadram Institute as a Metagenomics Research Scientist on 20 January 2026.
