Microbiota and vascular health

As a postdoc in the Robinson lab, I am involved in the project investigating the role of gut microbiota in modulating immune responses and influencing disease progression in breast cancer patients. My responsibilities include analysing biological samples using deep metagenomic sequencing techniques, correlating the findings with immune parameters, and validating the predictions generated in in vivo mouse models. Our goal is to identify biomarkers for treatment outcomes and develop microbial therapeutics to improve patient prognoses.

Before joining the Robinson Lab, I obtained my Ph.D. from the University of Florida in the United States, where my main research focused on deciphering the colonisation and adapation mechanisms of multi-drug resistant pathogens at the wildlife-livestock interface.
