Applications are invited for an Athena Swan Project Coordinator to join the Quadram Institute Bioscience (QIB), based in Norwich, UK.

The role

QIB is about to embark on an Athena Swan submission and we believe that we have a convincing case.

We are looking for an individual to take a lead role in preparing for an Athena Swan submission in 2021.  The successful applicant will have a passion for promoting the equalities agenda in the scientific sector.

To be successful in this role you will need to be able to demonstrate;

  • the ability to lead a team
  • outstanding communication skills
  • and project management skills

Additional information

We welcome applications from experienced individuals and those at an earlier stage in their career. Early career applicants will be considered for an SC6 position. Experienced individuals will be considered for a senior SC5 position, which will come with additional responsibility.

Salary on appointment will be within the range £32,225 to £49,750 per annum depending on qualifications and experience.  This is a fulltime contract until 31st May 2021, with the possibility of extension.

About the Quadram Institute

The Quadram Institute is a new interdisciplinary research institute dedicated to understanding how food and microbes interact to promote health and prevent disease. Its mission is to deliver healthier lives through innovation in gut health, microbiology and food. A partnership between Quadram Institute Bioscience, the University of East Anglia, the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and BBSRC, it brings together scientists and clinicians in a state-of-the-art building on the Norwich Research Park.
