Director of the NRP Biorepository

The QIB is seeking a Director for the NRP Biorepository, which is based in Norwich and is governed by a Partnership between the Quadram Institute Bioscience, University of East Anglia and the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital NHS Trust.

This is an exciting opportunity to capitalise on recent and substantial grant investment from the BBSRC that builds on the commitment from the Partners to develop the NRP Biorepository into a facility that supports high-quality research across the Norwich Research Park and the wider academic and commercial research community.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience of leadership in a Human Tissue Bank and a strong clinical research background. They will need to accommodate flexible working arrangements to deliver the required objectives of the role in a 0.2 FTE position. Developing relationships across the Partners and with other Human Tissue Banks, and promoting access for the wider charitable, academic and commercial bodies will be key objectives towards developing a sustainable future for the Biorepository.

About the Quadram Institute:

The Quadram Institute is a new interdisciplinary research institute at the forefront of a new era in food and health research. Its mission is to understand how food and the gut microbiota are linked to the promotion of health and the prevention of disease. A partnership between Quadram Institute Bioscience, the University of East Anglia, the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and BBSRC, it brings together scientists and clinicians in a new state-of-the-art building.
