This role presents an exciting opportunity for a Network and Partnerships Manager to lead in the establishment of a new UK Food Safety Research Network. The Quadram Institute is a UKRI funded facility at the interface between food science gut biology, food safety and health.

The role

In this position, the Network and Partnerships Manager will engage and motivate Network members and partners to identify food safety challenges and then support them to design a collaborative programme of research and innovation to deliver against these challenges. The post holder will act as secretariat to the Network Executive and Board and lead the development and ongoing delivery of core Network processes and their day-to-day management. This role will suit someone who has extensive network and project management skills, including suitable experience of working with and coordinating senior stakeholders to define and deliver against complex, multidisciplinary goals.

The Project Manager will also be responsible for monitoring and recording the progress of multiple workstreams delivering against Network objectives according to deadlines and within budget. This will necessitate liaising with the Network’s members at other Institutions and within Quadram to ensure strategic and programmatic alignment. The Project Manager will facilitate the dissemination of Network developments through an active knowledge exchange and communications strategy supported by colleagues at Quadram.

The post holder will also be expected to communicate directly with the Network’s funders, the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC), to coordinate and collate reports to meet their financial and progress reporting requirements.
