We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Project Support Assistant to provide administrative and project support to the CLIMB-BIG-DATA Project at Quadram Institute Bioscience (QIB), based in Norwich, UK.
CLIMB-BIG-DATA is a collaboration between leading UK universities working to deliver a cutting-edge bioinformatics platform to support microbiology research groups.
The role
The main purpose of this Project Support Assistant role is to provide vital administrative and organisational support to the Project Manager and wider team delivering the CLIMB-BIG-DATA project.
You will provide vital assistance in organising meetings, managing diaries, arranging domestic and international travel, drafting documents, managing expenses, website maintenance, and providing user support for the CLIMB-BIG-DATA platform. This is a fantastic opportunity to support a pioneering project at the forefront of microbiology research
The role is based at the QIB in Norwich with occasional travel to project partner sites.
The ideal candidate
The ideal candidate should have A level (or equivalent) in Information and Communication Technology, education to a degree level is desirable. They will have the initiative to work independently with minimal supervision and excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines. They will have experience of website development and authoring and working in a research environment in Higher Education, research funding agency, industry or government body.
Additional information
Salary on appointment will be within the range £27,750 to £34,500 pro rata depending on qualifications and experience. This is a part-time post for a contract of 16 months.
